I work for a small company and yes, I'm booking myself.

I'm definitely not tying to "hide" anything but trying to keep my travel preferences low key because of exactly what was said: PERCEPTION. I've worked in Asia for most of my life and when people find out little things about you (like you prefer flying business), they jump to conclusions about things (you are bratty).

In all honestly, the price difference was 30 pounds, and I would get so many more tier points. After moving to London, I lost my CX Silver Status and am now stick with BA Blue (kill me now) and will have to travel quite a bit this year so I'm trying to do whatever I can to get more tier points.

I ended up just booking the ticket with the higher price (returning on business) but I e-mailed the price quote of what it would have cost for me to fly back on economy. I'm going to do what everyone has recommended, which is to just be upfront with my boss/finance person about it. I doubt this is the only time that this will happen anyway!
