I was really just stating an observation.
The general wisdom is that (i) you can never book J on the 380 or 77W on any route using UA miles (although there has been the occasional exception reported on certain routes); (ii) you can book other aircraft in J on intra-Asia routes (which I can confirm, having flown SIN-BKK on the 333 last year).
