I mean 100% of what I wrote earlier, I am happy for everyone who had a great stay; however, we didn’t feel very welcomed or at ease from the time we checked-in to the time we checked-out at the Andaz Tokyo. If it wasn’t for time constraints and being in a foreign country and city, we would have looked for other options. My post contains my genuine feelings and observations as a 5 day guest there, and I hope nobody will experience what I felt when I was there going forward. However, I WILL remember the blatant discrimination I felt during my stay.
As for the condensation/water leak issue. I consider condensation a few dew drops on a window or something I'd see for a few brief moments after a shower, but not a puddle of water. I’ve stayed at many hotels in Tokyo and 15+ overall in Japan. I have never had this problem at any other property other than the Andaz.
My take is that the room isn't excessively dry. Other than reworking the windows, would you rather have a dehumidifier for the room and leave you with dry skin/throat overnight?
