It's called security.
I have walked into luxury hotels everywhere in Bali - its not called security, security is having your car checked by mirrors on poles, your luggage checked and a pat down, I know that the Burj Al Arab has this policy, but no other hotel that I have been into anywhere in the world has ever rejected my attendance.
I even flashed my Royal Ambassador Card - which is an invitation only card - and I understand the criteria is something like 60 nights in an Intercontinental Bed in the last 12 months.
I am hardly a person who the IC want to say - no we do not want you.
