I think that whether it's allowed in the SQ->QF direction would technically be a matter of SQ policy. But you'd have to collect and re-check at MEL anyway, so isn't this a bit academic?

In the QF->SQ direction, it'll be QF policy that applies, and I would also be interested in whether there's any update on this issue.
