WOW
As someone who usually stay at 4.5-5star Hyatt properties and avoid HP like the plaque, I was really impressed with this hotel.
Good instructions on how to catch shuttle from Schiphol (a nice setup with a lounge to sit in and driver calls you.) This is a better setup than most domestic airport hotels.
Personal welcome letter and small water bottle. They didn't have to do it so I appreciated both gestures.
Room: smaller than domestic HP but fits the standard issued sectional. The bamboo woodwork makes it look more expensive. The bathroom was nice and streamline. Did not expect Grohn fixtures at HP. Agree water pressure could be better.
Breakfast: fresh whole and cut fruit, juices (incl. guava which was surprising)
cold cuts, hot items (eggs, sausage, bacon), cereal, pastries, yogurt. This was a better/fresher breakfast selection than most domestic club lounges. I normally avoid HP and opt to not eat or eat elsewhere. On this trip I preferred this breakfast to the one I had at the Andaz where they oversalted my shrimp scramble to the point where it was inedible, were yapping loudly in the open kitchen, and I did not receive service, including my check after the drink was delivered as the only guest at 630am.
Friendly staff. My rate was 63 euro at hyatt.com
