I'll close this out from my perspective. Mrs BF and I were first to board and were in 2A&C. Two couples were pretty much last to board, one couple were at the rear of CE (row 6 I believe) and the other couple sat in 2D&F. The couples knew each other as the lady from row 6 spent a fair bit of the flight either in the aisle or galley chatting to the lady in 2D.

I have no idea why myself, Mrs BF and infant BF needed to be split up to accommodate the couple who ended up in our original seats but there was no apparent need for it at all. The couple in 2D&F clearly didn't need to be together as they hardly spoke all flight!!

A very very very poor show from BA as far as I am concerned. If we hadn't been reseated together I would have been incredibly annoyed. I'll be achieving gold organically this year but it's episodes like this that remind me that BA don't give a sh!t about in anyway shape or form. They'll get no special loyalty in future so I suspect that this could be my last year as gold.
