Hi,

How about Virgin Atlantic's Flying Club.

Assuming you would be travelling in buiness class ( Upper Class on virgin Atlantic) 2 LAX's and 1JFK return should earn you Gold Status ( VS's top tier) . You would also get 20K miles for LAX rtn and around 14K for JFK rtn ( all to LHR) for a total of around 54k ( more than eonuogh for a free Y ticket or a PE ticket LHR-West Coast USA). You colud alos earn miles on bmi biritsh mildand for european flights and could use them for several airlines in the US.
The clubhouses and LHR revivals lounges are excllent and the VS "flat" beds in Upper cLass while not hoorizontal as BA's are still excellent.

Regards
