Relocating to London - Which Airline Should I Choose

My company is probably sending me to our London office for six months. In addition to the flight over at the beginning and the flight back at the end, I'll probably make two trips home to LAX and one trip to JFK for work. All flights will be in business class.

We plan on doing some traveling while we're based in London, but that will likely be of the cheapo (i.e., Ryanair) vareity.

I have a substantial number of AA miles, plus 80k or so UA miles. I know that I can't receive AA miles flying on BA from the US, but that flat bed in Club World sure looks better than AA or UA's seats. I am not currently a member of BA's FF program.

The mileage awards on BA look to be fairly steep. I'm looking for advice on which airline to choose and which program to deposit my miles into. I'm leaning strongly towards BA for comfort, but I don't know that earning BA miles makes sense. I usually use my miles for premium transcon flights, but the BA award chart looks like a bad deal for this.

I'm open to anything (e.g., earning AS miles on BA) that may make sense.

Thanks for any suggestions you might offer.
