Folks just wanted to follow up on this.
I was super impressed with AA. I wasn't expecting much but AA really outdone themselves.
I usually fly BA - the AA aircraft was much older which was a dissapointment as I'm used to newer aircraft but the service on AA as brilliant on every flight. Every FA outdone themselves. As a Scotsman I drink a lot. The FA'S ensured I had plenty of whisky, gin and kept refilling the little bowl of nuts everytime they finished (where do you get those btw?)

In summary: older aircraft but the FA's made up for it. Definatley a much more personal service than I get on BA. I am now considering using AA more for my future flights.
