Whereas BA has an official policy that they will do it for BA to Oneworld transfers (subject to minimum connecting times, etc), QR does not seem to have any policy (unless all on one ticket, which is of course fine). From QR to Oneworld they may, or may not, agree to tag your bags through. It seems to depend on the mood of the check-in agent. So allow sufficient time on your return too.
