I am the original poster, and today I made air reservations to arrive in Copenhagen at 1500 on a Monday (Aug. 4) and depart Stockholm at noon on a Saturday (Aug. 9). I know that's not much time, but it's all I can use.

Several of you have recommended Scandic hotels, and that worked for me as a way to use accumulated HHonors points.

I'm thinking about renting a car for the trip from Copenhagen to Stockholm, to permit stopping along the way for photos. Can someone suggest a company that permits one-way international (Denmark to Sweden) rentals?

Also, what about wireless telephone rentals?
