Based on your description, it was really poor.
Well, I did do a TripAdvisor of the hotel and did slip in a paragraph about my unfortunate pool experience but I couldn't bother to actually email them straight about this issue. Honestly, the resort was nice but there are lots of areas that could see improvement.
