I was just going to start a similar thread; I upgraded a CW flight to First last month as since then I have been able to view/change my seats ("online seat selection is currently unavailable - please call us). It didn't really matter as I had the seat I wanted, but I have just called BA to upgrade my wife as nominee as availability opened up. She has know been upgraded, but can now no longer view seats online (like me). I asked the rep is she could fix it but she didn't really understand, and didn't offer a solution.
