Yes there is some sort of recent bug here. It never used to be a problem for status passengers, but I've hit it a few times recently. Just call in, the phone staff are painfully aware of this one and have reported it upwards. The easiest way to check is on the App to see if there is a ticket number there, however it can take a while for the App data to update since it is partially locally cached.
I am in a similar situation. Couple of Long Haul flights I have originally selected a seat and now can't. When I go on App to check the ticket number, the outbound has a ticket number but the return doesn't in which the change was made. This change was made a while ago. Could this be a problem?
