When we landed Indonesia had a $35USD Visa on arrival that was a PITA. We switched terminals (free bus, but it's segregated women up front, men in the back) and took AK to SIN for $44 RT

CGK in general is a really cheap 'doorway' to southeast asia. You can find cheap LCC tickets out of there to everywhere in the region for next to nothing.
The visa rule changed sometimes last year so now there is no $35 visa fee for US citizens!
