That hasn't been the case historically. Typically my bookings are made several weeks ahead by a corporate travel agent (BCD) and are not ticketed until a few days before travel. I have always been able to select seats as soon as the booking appears on MMB previously. This does not seem to be the case anymore.

Also, I have one personal December booking that has actually been ticketed and I still can't allocate myself seats.
