200$ comp for a 1K is almost insulting, come to think of it, it is insulting.
I have found UA useless at KIX, there are only a handful of UA staff and a manager who hides in his office. Otherwise you are dealing with ANA contract staff. I have had the pleasure of an Irops there, we did everything ourselves to get out with the premier line back in the states. In the end we did KIX-ICN on OZ ( great service ) ICN to SFO on UA the next day. I covered the hotel out of my AMEX Plat insurance, when UA could only offer a dive. KIX is a bad place to get stranded cuz you are really on your own.
