Find the opposite to be true - on nearly every flight last year (think I had 82 total, so this is not a single isolated anecdote) at the beginning of the announcement, the FAs thanked "all of our sky miles members and million milers, your business and loyalty are greatly appreciated by the entire delta family". Not a single mention of medallion members.
Heard the spiel so often I have it down pat.
