I'm not seriously worried about murders either (if I were, I wouldn't go to a lot of the places I travel to!) but in the Nevsky Palace case it was personal. The victim was a colleague of mine, shot in the head by a stray bullet meant for the mafioso at the next table...this happened in the cafe. Yikes. The place just gives me the creeps now.
