Hmmm. We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton in St. Pete a couple of years ago. I was using Starpoints so the price was right. The concierge was great! He lined up an art professor to give us a tour of the Hermitage and recommended some great restaurants.
The Sheraton faxed the visa info to the Sheraton Park Lane in London where we were staying. I went to the Russian Embassy in London and paid a little extra for an overnight visa and that was it.
Now I can't go back to St. Pete since I don't have any juice with the existing hotels and the nice ones are very expensive. I'm not worried about murders. How many murders have they had over the years in New York or Chicago hotels?
