I think I've broached this before. Anyhow, did a little research with Auto Europe on the web.

One-ways seem pretty common in UK and France, and the price for a compact or economy car seems to average about $50/day.

Is this reasonable, or are there better deals out there? Also, Auto Europe does not appear to take Diners Club, and I'd rather use that because of the insurance protection.

My boyfriend actually works at the AutoEurope Reservation center in the United States (located in Portland, ME). He says that one-way fares are generally outrageous because they have to hire someone to drive the car back if nobody rents one-way in the other direction. From what he tells me, $50 doesn't seem that bad.
