I don't think you will need an open jaw, just book the segment to DEN on AA as part of the same ticket. You should be able to just book something like DUB-LHR-PHX/ORD/LAX-DEN-LHR-DUB for roughly the same price. There's a chance you might need to call or book via aa.com, but I would expect it to work.
