The confirmation is from aa.com and says "thank you for booking a hotel with your flight" and that this is a pre-paid hotel voucher. I have never seen this before. Does anyone know about this?
Yes, just print it and hand it to the clerk when checking in. It is prepaid. They will need a credit card if you want to charge anything to the room. I got two terrific European deals from American Airlines Vacations that saved over 50% and included business class air (I was the booking class) and the Ritz Carlton for a Vienna trip. I didn't get any hotel points though but instead of paying $12,000 separately, the trip cost $5,000. I also got the 25,000 bonus miles AA is offering for business class. The same worked on a trip to London right after 2015 Christmas. For the 2 trips I received approximately 110,000 miles due to the bonus offers AA has in place for flying F or J and the Platinum status bonus.

I checked UA and DL and their vacation packages to Europe were nowhere near as good as AA's.
