I used to get charity offers - donate $20 (or so) and get 1,000 bonus miles and 250 a month for up to six months (the amounts varied). I used to keep one of those running all the time - I give to various charities anyway so might as well get some miles - and some were a pretty good deal. Always had to fight with eMiles to get the miles, but I always did. I would not bite on most of them until I found one that was a good charity for a good number of miles. Now, for at least the last 6 months I haven't received any offers like that.

I still am getting charity offers, but I had not made any charity donations through e-miles until last month. During December, the e-miles awarded were doubled, and there were lots of offers. I have not received as many offers in January, but I assume this is somewhat cyclical, since people are more inclined to increase donations in December for tax benefits.
