Well, I'm not sure that's entirely true. Rewards are much more expensive to redeem on LH. Some examples that come to mind straight away are:

In J class:

Canada - LHR = 80000 APMiles vs 105000 LHMiles

Canada - India = 185000 APMiles vs 210000 LHMiles

Canada - South America = 75000 APMiles vs 105000 LHMiles

So everything is not as green as it seems on this side of the alliance!!
