And now MH drops its daily service to DXB! Codesharing on the four EK dailies instead from 15 February, although this is cheekily dressed up as an expansion.
"Malaysia Airlines today announced that it will codeshare on Emirates’s four times daily service to Dubai from Kuala Lumpur from February 15th, 2016 as part of the partnership between Malaysia Airlines and Emirates which was signed early December 2015. The flights offered by Malaysia Airlines from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai will therefore increase from one to four daily, although all flights will be operated on Emirates aircraft."

Would have thought that MH would have at least retained its one DXB flight so that passengers booking on the forthcoming codeshares on EK metal to destinations westwards from Dubai would have some chance of flying on MH metal to get to DXB itself. Now I wouldn't be surprised if EK introduced a 5th daily to KUL, especially as the soon-to-be-discontinued MH flight filled a mid-afternoon gap in between the EK flights.
The EK codeshares on MH's regional network should be coming in soon too - a bunch of secondary Malaysian airport codes that I don't think were previously in the website booking engine are now visible.
