At JED, the smoking room is next to the kid's playroom(!). The door is rarely closed and the smokes spreads into the entire lounge. Nasty.
I had the comment next to JED about the kids play area in the original post, not great I agree.
However, in the North terminal I've never known the lounge smoking room door to be left open, or for the lounge to smell of smoke to be honest. The smoking room outside the lounge is a whole other ball game though.
The South terminal lounge smoking room door seems to be left open regularly but at least it's not near a kids play area. And at least there are chairs in it too
