My wife and I were just in BCN and never considered the high speed train to Paris. We have been on the Eurostar and Thalys high speed trains and they make traveling fun. I would be happy to avoid CDG whenever I can.

Could you give us a ballpark price and how far in advance you booked it? You could also pm that to me.
