I also want to send a big thanks to ozstamps for the heads-up on *A NZ-AU awards. It's really a great deal. All my regular travel buddies are busy and I was going to let the deal go until I read the post and found I could finally get to Perth for as little as 20K miles. This will be my 5th trip to NZ and AU and I have always skipped Perth because of the distance and other priorities.

I know someone mentioned renting a motorhome in NZ. Just FYI, www.maui-rentals.com has some great specials during this time. A basic 2-person caravan is only NZ$45/day ($26US). I have rented from them 4 times and they are a great company. There are several other big rental companies but I have not used them.

If this your first trip to NZ or AU you are in for a treat. The people are GREAT and prices are so reasonable (downright cheap sometimes). Having just returned from London, where the US$ is very weak, this trip will be a huge bargain all around.
