My home airport is VPS (aka named Destin-Ft. Walton Beach this week) and there have been rumblings for a couple months that they were trying to bring in a LCC to the area. Was hoping for Jet Blue, but, hey, ticket prices in the Florida panhandle are typically on the high side, and any competition that might help bring them down is welcome, and the new Allegiant VPS-St. Louis route somewhat competes with WN's ECP-STL nonstop so at least there's that.
