Admittedly my fault, I missed the small print - but still infuriating.

Not being North American I use European booking websites to have CDW, TP and SLI included in my rates - have never had a problem up until my last trip.

I booked via Atlaschoice (for Budget) - the rate included CDW and TP but not SLI. I missed this... and took the following to mean I was covered:
"Insurance LiabilityExcessDeductible in Event of an Accident or Theft Excess is: USD 0.00 for all vehicle groups."

When I picked up the car (EWR) the rep asked something about insurance - I said my rental included CDW and SLI, and quickly signed everything on the touchscreen (second mistake). The rep decided to include paid SLI and made no mention of the extra charge for SLI she was including, however, I did sign.... (by then it wasn't an issue, since atlaschoice did not have the cover I would have had ot purchase it anyway)

SO I've been scammed once, hopefully not again (at least not the same one..) - if you are non-US, beware of partial insurance cover - make sure you have CDW, TP AND SLI (depending on what state you are in and their mandatory LI).
