Wrong! Chances are very good that the box will be opened for inspection by the TSA and if so, you can bet it isn't going to be re-packed in a way that will prevent damage. I had this happen with a flat screen monitor that was checked. It was put back in the box backwards and half the packing was missing as well as the power cord.
