The 787 cabin width is 5.49 Meters compared to 5.87 on the 777, since many carriers operate a 777 with 10 seats per row, 9 seats would be suitable for the 787.
Most people are more than happy to be squeezed in Y if it means lower fares. If someone doesn't like it he/she can pay up for a J seat or a Y+ seat (assuming LY will actually install a proper Y+ seat similar to the J cabin on the 737).
Well, flying on AC's Dreamliner, I don't know how happy people are in regards to being "squeezed". It is a squeeze,the seats and the aisles are very very narrow.
That being said- AC's prices have decreased since launching the Dreamliner, and in some cases the prices are well below LY's.
Im curious to see if LY would actually have lower prices- im abit skeptical.
