Post West Oakland BART Station Closed Due To Shooting
OAKLAND (CBS SF) — A man was found shot dead on a BART train in Oakland.

The shooting prompted the shutdown of the West Oakland station in the San Francisco and East Bay directions.

The suspect was still at large, according to police.

The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m.

Is this the first time someone has been shot dead on a BART train? The train cars themselves have historically been a safe haven.
