Those are all things to consider and only you can determine if it's worth it to you or not to go one way or another! However other things to consider are that on UA you will get a nonstop (which means more time in Hawai'i!) and more than likely a far superior hard product. On UA you can often get a 777 to Hawai'i which has recliners in F that are the old J seats (with larger recline and a footrest and far more legroom than standard domestic F) and I believe that UA is running a 764 SFO-HNL right now. I don't know if they will be doing so during the summer or not though. All just things to consider!
All that said, it is a lot of MQMs and MQDs.
