Based on names in the wiki, it shows that interest in attending is way bigger than a casual meet & greet - and these are only those who have added their names so far.
I would highly recommend you think about a proper venue for a crowd this large. I would bet many of us (who never had a previous opportunity) would be thrilled to have an event at YYZ. Pick a hangar, throw up some minor decorations, etc.
Make sure people can mingle, keep it buffet style with more than one station for food and drink and determine a cost per person.
This is a lot easier than having everyone try to sort out their own bills in a restaurant type of setting.
