Very poor customer Service experienced.

I recently travelled to Fiji - the plan was to stay at the IC Natadola Bay for 14 nights using points.

However the opportunity finally arrived where my partner and I would have co-inciding leave in 2016 which would allow us to make a much waited for trip the Europe, so I went to Fiji on my own.

It seemed mean to use the points on my own, plus we could make great use of all those points at London, Paris, Amsterdam IC's.

So I found a resort along the coast which suited my needs.

I had a rental car as part of my reasons for travelling to Fiji was to explore where my Dad grew up, and to locate my grandparents graves which were located in Suva - I managed to do all of this.

However I wanted to go and discover the IC Fiji, so like what I do anywhere else in the world, I drove up to the hotel.

Security Barrier, said Bula to the guide - he asked if I was checking in, I said I was going to have lunch, he said do you have a reservation, I said NO.

He said no entry then. I then reached for my wallet - pulled out my Royal Ambassador card and said does this make a difference.

NO it did not. He gave me a pamphlet with contact details on if I wanted to make a reservation.

I emailed the contact details on the pamplet and the email came back address not current.

So i found the hotel website, and sent an email.

I got a response - saying they were dissapointed that they had made me feel unwelcome and if I wanted to stay in future email back with the reservation number, and they would do their best to make me feel welcome.

I replied saying I was still in Fiji - and would like to see the resort, so I knew what to expect when I booked. I got a response of email us when you make a booking.

A friend arrived to stay with me for a few days, we went to the Warwick for dinner one night, arrived at the security, the guard just opened the barrier. My friend liked some items she bought in one of the shops there, so on our way to the airport, we stopped at the Warwick again, again the barrier was just lifted for us.

My gut feeling is that the IC Fiji will never get my custom. As a Royal Ambassador - I spend a lot of times in IC hotels, seems pretty poor to me.
