All fine but added hassle if you are at or near LHR. However, just to be clear, if you haven't completed a customs declaration on arrival, BA will not forward or deliver your luggage to you. You have to collect it at LHR.
Thanks. I'm viewing the scenarios as:
- all fine, no issues
- delay and I wait for bags, possibly miss conformance (BA's fault so I won't take last leg)
- delay and I take next flight without bags, but back to back comes into LHR a few hours later, so that hassle avoided.
If issues I'd also notify BA so they were aware and hopefully make subsequent collection smoother (e.g. could they keep in baggage hall etc.)
