GPS Options for Western Europe

Hello all,

On my next business/personal visit to Holland, Germany and Austria I will be spending a fair amount of time off the beaten path. (visiting small towns etc)

I normally fumble my way through with old fashioned paper maps etc but wont have the luxury of wasting time this trip and will need to get to my destinations quickly as this will only be a short 2 week trip.

I will be hiring (renting) a car us usual this trip in AMS Schipol and will be driving the whole trip. I have an excellent corporate rate with Avis and will get the normal Mercedes C Class for a very low rate (with insurance) so I do not want to switch rental car companies to get GPS in car ( Avis does not offer GPS out of AMS Schipol)

Any other tips on what options are available nowadays for someone who wants or needs to use GPS navigation in western Europe? I will have my laptop and a GSM mobile phone with me this trip.

Thanks
