Somewhat related, Delta has publicly announced it has signed an LOI to move to T2/T3 at LAX.
American and Delta had late last year agreed in principal to a plan where AA takes over T5 as Delta relocates to T2/T3, so maybe we will hear something soon about AA moving to T5. AA's T5 operation would likely replace the Eagle's nest and the T6 operations.
There's still a while until the moves actually happen, but the result will be a very nice, linear more compact, linear operation.
