Chase often uses the same hard pull for apps that fall within a 15- or even 30-day range. If you have bad luck and end up with multiple pulls on the same report, you can call the credit bureau and ask that they be merged (i.e., one deleted).

Regardless, with a 770 FICO, one extra inquiry is nothing to worry about, unless your credit reports are very thin. Other than bragging rights on the internet, there's very little benefit to having a FICO over 750.
