As I know both properties, I have to say, that we had good and bad experiences at both hotels.
The location is unbeatable and diamond recognition is fairly good most of the time at AUH (never got a villa, but other nice suites). Lots of reserved and unoccupied lounge chairs happen at the PH DXB as well, but I have seen that at basically any resort hotel, if have been to, from RC to cheap rseorts.
The rates of the tour operators are not considerably lower than the Hyatt rate most of the time, so no problem there either. BTW the PH DXB is sold by TUI as well, again no difference.
BTW we know, why we always have BF in the Grill, not the Cafe :-)
One thing we definately noted is, that the FD manager left in October and the FD is disorganized at the moment.
