KL-Hong Kong CX724

After 4 days of holiday in Kuala Lumpur, it was time for me to return back to the UK via Hong Kong.

I arrived at KLIA around 2pm. I spent some time at 1 cafe in the main terminal building, checked-in my luggage and make my way to the satellite terminal.

Managed to do some spotting at the satellite terminal

And soon, it was time for boarding

Airline:Cathay Pacific Airways
Flight: CX724
Aircraft: B777-200ER
Class: Economy
Origin: Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
Destination: Hong Kong (HKG)
ETD: 5:40pm
ETA: 9:30pm

My seat

Cabin during boarding

The 2 seats next to me were soon occupied by a couple most probably from Iran

The cabin when everyone settled down. This flight was 90% full.

MH's A330-300 next to us

The safety demo was played on the screen and cabin crews make the final check of the cabin before we started to push back.

We raced with D7 to get airborne

And we won the match!

Flying into the cloud

30 minutes into the flight, cabin crews walked down the aisle and distributed peanuts and drinks

Finally, it was dinner time. There were 2 options between fish and chicken. I chose the latter.
The Fried Rice with Sweet & Sour Chicken was to tasty and flavorful.

Outside, the sky was getting darker.

Soon, there was an announcement from the cockpit informing us that we were about to land in Hong Kong shortly.

The cabin was dimmed in preparation for landing.

Approaching Hong Kong

We safely landed at HKG behind the schedule.

HKG was such a busy airport. The staffs who were handling connecting passengers at HKG were super slow. As a result, I had to run to the gate where the boarding process of my next flight, BA026 to LHR already started.

Conclusion:
This was my first time flying with CX and personally, I think they are an OK carrier. Not really fantastic and not too bad either. In my flight, only 1 male crew who served my row was friendly, warm and energetic while the rest of them just wanted finish their job quickly. The meal on CX was very nice though.

Thank you for reading my very first TR here on Flyertalk. Up next, I will post some photos during my trip in KL
