It would be worth going back to them however and asking if you can have this early checkin FOC as a platinum. It's not guaranteed but they might concede on the price.
FWIW you'd probably have more luck at other IHG brands with your status with getting this at no cost.
Thanks for comments. Just updated the profile, (joined ambassador program with fee from last months), and I had never received those specific charge policy from other franchise hotel. Fairly newbie in IHG program.
