Does anyone know how early you can check a bag on Southwest? I know for early morning flights you have to wait for the ticket counter to open but how about for a mid afternoon flight? Can I check my bag 3-5 hours before the flight? This would allow me to go to the airport early to check my bags and then go to an appointment and then return to airport less than an hour before the flight and go straight the gate.
