I was flabbergasted that my room at the Hyatt Regency Boston Financial District last summer had no desk--and nothing that approximated a desk. There was a low table that would have been small but serviceable if many inches higher, but no chair that could be used conveniently at the low table.

On a recent stay at the New York Grand Hyatt, my companion remarked that there was no desk, but at least there was a table with appropriate chairs.
