For many of us, "work" does not mean "surfing the internet" or "playing video games." It involves spreading out files, notebooks, binders, loose papers, all of which requires a large flat surface commonly known as a "desk."

I will often stay in hotels when I have a trial and I need a desk to work. I checked right out of Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf when I discovered they had no desks in the rooms.

That would be okay. That's not what Hyatt is doing. Their tables are round and about 18" diameter. There is no separate chair. The "table" is just above knee level (sort of like a tv tray) and placed in front of the crappy, Ikea-quality unsupportive sofa.

AT HR SFO, the rooms do currently have desks. The concern is that they may be eliminated in the current remodel. Until that occurs, this is inaccurate.
