Maybe I am posting this on a wrong thread, but I wonder what is this uproar with the concept of "no desk"? From what I can see - all the newly renovated rooms have a table, from which one can work (use a laptop) or dine. Ergonomically, the table height looks like it corresponds to the seat height of chair and/or sofa next to it. So it's not like the desk has been replaced by a low coffee table.
What features from a traditional desk that travelers are missing? A drawer where hotel provides stationery? A lamp?
How's this room? Does this room work with this kind of "desk"?
