Do bare in mind that a lot of these attempted card frauds us genuine company names (I had some listed as Eurotunnel services Ltd or something) with slight variations, hopefully to buy them time for the money to clear and they can disappear.

I don't know any reason why BA would take a small sum and later refund it, does not make sense.
